Jefferson Township Fire Company # 2, Company # 1 and the Jefferson Rescue Squad were dispatched shortly after 1am
on April 11, 2008 to the scene of a fully engulfed house fire on Ripplewood Drive, located in the Lake Hopatcong section
of the township. Upon arrival, Chief Jim Jacoby Jr immediately requested mutual aid from surrounding towns to assist
with the blaze. Firefighters from Picatinny, Mt. Arlington, Roxbury, Hopatcong, Sparta and West Milford Fire Departments
responded to the scene. No injuries were reported. The fire is under investigation.
